“I have seen Chartres, I have seen Anvers, but I needed to see Strasbourg… From the belfry, the view is wonderful. Strasbourg lays at your feet, the old city of tiled triangular roof tops and gable windows, interrupted by towers and churches as picturesque as those of any city in Flanders. Personally, I would go from one turret to another, admiring one by one, the view of France, Switzerland and Germany via one ray of sunshine.”
– Victor Hugo
Dear Travellers! I welcome you to Strasbourg. My name is Janina, and I will be happy to be a guide for you or for your tourist group. I've been living in Strasbourg for more than 10 years. Passionate about History and Art, Urbanisation and Architecture, Gastronomy and Local traditions, I explore and rediscover daily new facets of the capital of Alsace. I also enjoy taking pictures of it. It's a dynamic, multicultural city, heart of peaceful Europe, that devotes its energy to creation and cohesion. When you walk in its streets - you feel it in the air - always moving forward, but never forgetting what you leave behind. That's why I love Strasbourg so much, and that's why to share my Strasbourg experience became my full-time job. In 2017, I got my tourist guide licence. Since I work closely with Tourist Office of Strasbourg, and cruise companies such as AmaWaterways, Avalon, Crystal, Viking, Crucemundo and others.
Coming to a new city, it's always better to explore it with a guide. Let me be your guide ! 🙂
